St. Patty’s Day Paleo Challenge and Competition!
Ye Ask and Ye shall receive!
6 week paleo challenge (Feb 4th-March 17th)
It’s your standard paleo challenge with a twist! No! We didn’t add beer to the paleo foods list! You will be doing this challenge with a teammate, and you pick your partner! You will help each other out on your weekly objectives, your goal setting and your action plans. You will also help your partner out with recipes, food ideas, shopping ideas, and anything else you think might help to be successful in learning about eating a paleo diet at home, on the go, and in every situation!
You and your partner will finish the paleo challenge by battling it out against the other teams of 2 at The St. Patty’s Day In house Competition, it will be you and your teammate completing 2-3 WODs (3/17/12) as your final chance to help out your team and get a taste of competition!
Weigh in’s must be completed BY Feb. 4th, we will be open at the gym on Saturday 2/4 from 9am until about 10:30am for measurements only, there will not be a WOD. If you can’t make Saturday, get with your coach the week before and schedule a time to get you and your teammate measured. Registration for Paleo Challenge is online now!
The cost per team is $85 (includes t-shirt and entry into competition)
If you can’t find a partner or you’re new and don’t know many people yet, email your coach and we will set you up with someone! (strictly platonic)
If you don’t want to do the paleo challenge but still want to compete in the comp on March 17th, you can do that! You still need a teammate and the cost per team is $50 (entry fee and t-shirts) You must register before 3/1/12, registration will be online soon!

I am interested in the Paleo Challenge. I have been reading Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint book and have been trying to do this on my own for a few weeks. I would like to have the regular accountability to make the transition to Paleo/Primal.
My fitness level is low to medium. I worked out regularly until 2 years ago when we adopted our son as a newborn. I have gained almost 20 pounds in the last year due to various events.
I have some physical limitations due to major injuries to my lower back and one knee. I have learned how to adapt workouts to prevent further damage/injury.
I have done some CrossFit type workouts. I really enjoy the variety and challenge that they provide.
How do I get started/registered for the challenge? I don’t have a partner to work with me.
Thank you!

Ok, new update regarding the paleo challenge teams etc.
Rules are as follows,
There are 3 divisions:
Men only team (standard or scaled)
Women only team (standard or scaled)
Co-ed (standard or scaled)
The caveat! You must BOTH be standard or BOTH be scaled! Can’t have a standard person on a scaled team or vice versa! Our definition of standard is if you do the WODs during normal classes RX 9/10 times, then you are standard and you CANNOT be on a scaled team.
