“The environment at Pin Up is continually motivating, challenging, exhilarating and fun. I love that the skills and strengths you develop inside the box carry over into daily life. Whether it’s “farmer carrying” groceries, having boundless energy to get through your daily to-do list or having more confidence to get up in front of a crowd to give a presentation, Crossfit changes you from the inside out. I look forward to helping others with their goals and assisting them in discovering what they can achieve through Crossfit.”

I found CrossFit 4 years ago and fell in love with it right away. Iv’e play sports since middle and through high school. I played football and lacrosse and ran track so I had always loved being active. When I started CrossFit I had been out of sports for a few years and finally found a way to get back in shape and compete with a fun community! I love helping others accomplish goals they never thought they could do.

Andrew has been an athlete his whole life, he participated in soccer, lacrosse and track during high school in upstate NY and continued playing soccer in college at the University of Albany. He is always trying to stay active with other sports such as snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, surfing and other outdoor activities. He loves helping and witnessing athletes break barriers they thought they couldn’t.

Andrew is a CrossFit level 1 instructor, CrossFit Kettlebell Coach and CrossFit Gymnastics Coach. He has also completed the CrossFit Endurance Certification, CrossFit Joint Mobility and Recovery Certification, and is a USAW Level 1 Sport Performance Coach.

I began CrossFit in 2008 after searching to fill the void that playing college football had left. I am a CrossFit Level II certified coach with specialty certifications that include CrossFit Gymnastics, Mobility, Olympic Lifting, and Strongman, as well as a USAW Level I certificate. I currently work as a full time firefighter for the Houston Fire Department in conjunction with running and coaching at Pin Up CrossFit.

Outside of the CrossFit life, I graduated from a tiny University in ND (Mayville State) in 2005 where I aspired to be a teacher. Upon moving to Houston to do so, I obtained my Masters Degree from Sam Houston State University in 2007. After 5+ years in the education world, I pulled the trigger to open Pin Up CrossFit and have never looked back. I live just south of Houston in rural Manvel, TX with my beautiful wife Kelly, and our amazing daughter Grace.

Kevin Gerszewski is a natural born athlete and has been a competitor all of his life. Kevin is Charlie’s younger brother, and the two grew up in North Dakota playing a myriad of sports. Kevin graduated with a BS in Social Work from Minnesota State University-Morehead in 2010. He worked for El Paso County with Child Protective Services in Colorado Springs, Colorado, living a fitness-focused lifestyle in Colorado. In January of 2013, Kevin relocated to Houston, Texas and obtained his Level One Crossfit Trainer’s Certification and has been coaching for the last several months. Kevin has been coaching at Pin Up CrossFit since early 2013.

I am a native Houstonian and graduate of Baylor University and UT Health Science Center. I am a Registered Nurse at Texas Children’s Hospital. I appreciate how CrossFit has made me not only a fitter person overall, but a better nurse for my patients. Prior to finding CrossFit, my exercise regimen was all over the map, from minimal exercise to completely overtraining. I love how CrossFit is a solution to these issues, giving me tools to do time efficient yet highly effective workouts. CrossFit has truly been a life changing experience for me, and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

I came to Pin Up two and half years ago on a recommendation from a friend and just loved it. The community and friendships have been fantastic. I grew up playing sports from elementary school through high school. I got hooked on fitness in college and decided to get a personal training certification from the Cooper Institute in 2005. I did personal training and group fitness for 10 years and started coaching at Pin Up in 2015.
