Alissa Poteete has been a dedicated Crossfit athlete since March of 2012. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas and loved playing sports such as volleyball and softball. She also competed in school and AAU track and field, throwing discus, shot put and javelin for six years. Alissa obtained a BS in Biology from the University of Houston in 2008 and went on to earn a Masters in Biomedical Science. She currently works as a Senior Research Assistant at MD Anderson. Alissa is extremely passionate about Crossfit and spends most of her free time at the box or outdoors.
“The environment at Pin Up is continually motivating, challenging, exhilarating and fun. I love that the skills and strengths you develop inside the box carry over into daily life. Whether it’s “farmer carrying” groceries, having boundless energy to get through your daily to-do list or having more confidence to get up in front of a crowd to give a presentation, Crossfit changes you from the inside out. I look forward to helping others with their goals and assisting them in discovering what they can achieve through Crossfit.”
