Why Aren’t You Stretching?

Let’s get real.  We all skip stretching.
“It’s not as exciting as the workout.”  “It’s isn’t really helping.”  “It’s boring.”  “It’s uncomfortable.”  “I’m not good at it.”  Blah blah blah.
There are a million reasons not to stretch.  Just like there are a million reasons not to show up for the workout.  But HEY!  You did that… so do yourself another favor and stretch before.  Be mindful during the warm-up stretching.  Stretch afterward.
Your body will thank you.  Those goals you have been chasing: they are still out there and I guarantee that they will get a little bit closer with better mobility.  Heck, maybe your goal was better mobility! Start small, take those five minutes you show up early before class and foam roll your sorest muscles when you typically would be talking with your buddies.  Hand your buddy a foam roller and do it together.
Think about the real reason why you aren’t stretching. Then choose to do it anyway.
